WAYNE GRETZKY

From Edmonton to LA, LA to St. Louis, and St. Louis to New York,
the journey of Wayne Gretzky’s legendary NHL career has always had the inevitable
last stop of the Hockey Hall of Fame in Toronto. After blessing hockey fans across the league
with twenty years of greatness on ice, Gretzky finally closed up shop after skating in his final NHL
game for the New York Rangers against the Pittsburgh Penguins on April 18, 1999. While most
players typically wait the required time of 3 years post-retirement to be inducted into the
HHOF, #99 was granted an exception by the committee and was inducted within
the HHOF Class of 1999, fitting for the man who electrified the sport for two
decades with that iconic # on his back.

This Hockey Hall of Fame plaque is autographed by Wayne Gretzky.
