The illustrious career of Wayne Gretzky came to a close in the 'Big Apple' as member of the New York Rangers an Original Six team. Gretzky signed with the Rangers as he sought one more shot at a Stanley Cup Championship. During his first season with the club in 1997, he led an aerial attack on the post season goaltenders as his slap shots led the team in goals. He also led his team in assists as they reached the Eastern Conference Finals. While he may not have been the same player he was earlier in his career, he still had the wherewithal to step up and be a leader and productive goal scorer. This 16" x 24" composite display is highlighted by an action photo of the Rangers center unleashing one of his patented slap shots, complemented by a designed graphic.
