WAYNE GRETZKY

The 1983-84 season was a historic one for Wayne Gretzky not only for the fact that it was the season of his first Stanley Cup title but because of the mind-blowing numbers he put up. Playing in 74 regular season games Gretzky would finish with 87 goals and 118 assists, good for 205 points. There have only been three other times the 200-point plateau has been reached in a season, all done by Gretzky. Gretzky also finished with his third highest plus minus rating of his career at +78. Gretzky would finish the postseason as the postseason points leader with 35 points. Not only did Gretzky win his first Stanley Cup title he would also take home the Art Ross Trophy, the Hart Memorial Trophy, and the Ted Lindsay Award.
