“I've gone through Yellowstone National Park a number of times
over the years, and I am always in awe of the beauty of the area.
The inspiration for this painting is Lewis Falls, one of the easiest things
to see in the park.Three Crow (Apsaalooke) are crossing
below the falls, and the youngest of the party has turned to look
above the falls - the question, and actually, the story, is what
or who stirred up the birds (which happen to be crows) that
are flying above the trees?

Sometimes, like in old movies, the unseen danger lets us
imagine much more than the obvious.” - Martin Grelle

MARTIN GRELLE - Born 1954, Clifton, Texas, USA.
Born & raised in Clifton, Texas, Martin Grelle and his wife, Joyce, still
live on a small ranch a few miles from town. His studio sits in the picturesque Meridian
Creek Valley, surrounded by the oak & cedar-covered hills of Bosque County, just a
short distance from his home, but also within a few miles of the family & friends
who are so important in his life.

Grelle says humbly,“I thank God for the ability and the opportunities He has given me,
and I hope I can continue to grow and learn more with each finished painting. I am honored
by everyone who collects my work, and I will always strive to create artwork worthy of their attention
