On a quiet inland lake Mr. Emmet, a familiar friend who
appears in several of my paintings, is adrift in the silent current.
He had many favourite spots and this one was marked only
by the faded yellow boathouse from long ago. This is a special
place. Mr. Emmet shares this with no one except his
