Mayer’s Master of the North was selected to join Ducks Unlimited Canada’s
(DUC) 2012 National Art Portfolio and Mayer was named DUC’s Artist of
the Year. The money raised through this program supports DUC’s on-the-
ground wetland conservation work, scientific research and education
programs.

The hypnotic eyes of the wolf pierce the silent, wintry landscape
as the beautiful animal remains vigilant Maybe this consummate hunter
is watching its prey or enjoying a quiet respite from the pack.
