Less than two months into his NBA career, Michael Jordan was featured on the cover of Sports Illustrated.
Pictured driving to the basket against the Milwaukee Bucks, Jordan was featured under the
title “A Star Is Born” on the Dec. 10, 1984 cover of the iconic magazine. Sports Illustrated knew something
everyone else would quickly learn – that is, that Jordan would eventually become the greatest basketball
player of all time. First things first, however, as Jordan would spend that rookie season of 1984-85
dominating the NBA on his way to winning Rookie of the Year honors. This jersey features “1985 ROY
” embroidered in red thread. Upper Deck Authenticated had Jordan physically write out that inscription
and then got that inscription embroidered directly onto the jersey. This embroidered rookie jersey Is
attached to a black suede matte and then finished with a sturdy black frame so it’s ready to be the centerpiece of any wall.
Jordan has autographed this framed 1984-85 Chicago Bulls white rookie authentic Mitchell & Ness jersey in black paint pen.
The frame gives it an approximate overall size of 32” x 38”. His signature is deemed authentic by virtue of
