AN OFFICIAL COMMEMORATIVE ART PROJECT OF THE 2000 CALGARY STAMPEDE
A message from the President
On behalf of the Calgary Stampede I would like to congratulate the Canadian Country Music Hall of Fame and Ken Danby on the creation
of the Trail 2000 limited edition, commemorative art prints.
The Calgary Stampede is very proud to be a part of such a unique project that combines the talents of an internationally renowned
artist
with the backdrop of this historic adventure. Trail 2000 recreates a historic horse drive retracing a classic, tradition-worn trail
that entrusts riders with the responsibility of delivering the most famous bucking stock in the world to the Greatest Outdoor Show on Earth.
Ken's involvement in this project utilizes his award winning talent and creativity to showcase the horse drive to its fullest as well as
create a lasting legacy for years to come.

The artist's comments
'Trail 2000' was an exciting event that I was thrilled to respond to with my work. My challenge in creating this image involved combining
the high drama and action of range-running horses with the grandeur of the Alberta ranchlands. And I'm delighted to have participated
in a project that simultaneously benefits so many worthy groups the Calgary Stampede, the Canadian Country Music Hall of Fame,
the Rotary Clubs of Calgary and the many people of Calgary who support their admirable endeavours.
