"This clump of grass caught my eye as I was visiting Ninstints, the abandoned Haida village
that I portrayed in Spirits of the Forest.  The frog is an important part of the mythology
of the Haida people, yet frogs are disappearing all over the world, just as native
cultures are disappearing.  Perhaps those very raindrops contain a trace of
chemicals from our modern technology, which is hurting the delicate web
of life on this planet."
