In the glorious light of Davis Strait, between Greenland and Canada’s Baffin Island,
the colors shift and bounce. This polar bear, successful in the hunt, has pulled his
kill onto the ice floe. The raucous gulls hover in anticipation of scraps. In spite of
the bear's great size, he seems only a tiny part of the awesome
arctic landscape."
